Security Service Engineer
A long-established and expanding fire and security company with over 20 years of experience is looking for a Security Service Engineer to join their growing Central London team. They provide integrated security solutions across commercial, residential, retail, and public sector sites.
Security Service Engineer – £35,000 to £47,000 + Van + Paid Travel – Central London
Location: Central London
Salary: £35,000 – £47,000 basic (DOE)
OTE: With paid travel, call-out, and overtime

Package – Security Service Engineer:
- Basic Salary: £35,000 – £47,000 (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 36.5-hour week
- Travel Time Paid: After 30 mins each way
- Overtime: Time and a half; double time on Sundays
- Call-Out Rota: 1 in 6 days
- £182/week standby rate
- First 4 hours paid at flat rate, additional hours at time and a half
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Company Van + Fuel Card
- Tools, uniform, and company phone/tablet provided
Responsibilities – Security Service Engineer:
As a Security Service Engineer, your role will include:
- Servicing and maintaining Intruder Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, and IP-based networks
- Diagnosing faults and resolving issues in a timely, compliant manner
- Working to British Standards
- Managing your own schedule effectively to complete daily tasks
- Providing excellent customer service on-site and over the phone
- Participating in the on-call rota
Requirements – Security Service Engineer:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing electronic security systems
- Experience working with Intruder Alarms, CCTV (including IP), and Access Control
- Ability to work independently across multiple sectors (commercial, residential, public, retail)
- Strong fault-finding and system servicing skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean licence preferred)
- Must be eligible for enhanced security screening
- Desirable (not essential):
- Install & commissioning experience
- Qualifications such as 18th Edition, NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC
- IP network understanding
