Fire and Security Accounts Manager

An ambitious and growing fire and security solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales and develop long-term client relationships across the Midlands. This is a highly visible role within the organisation, ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with a strong B2B or fire & security background. You’ll work closely with project teams to deliver seamless solutions while actively growing revenue across the company’s portfolio.

Account Manager – Fire & Security

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic + OTE
Department: Fire and Security Systems Sales
Reports To: Division Sales Manager
Working Pattern: Field-based

Responsibilities – Account Manager

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities, as well as nurture existing client relationships within the fire and security sector
  • Generate business through networking, cold calling, client meetings, site surveys, and industry events
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to maximise revenue across the fire and security portfolio
  • Prepare tailored proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements – Account Manager

  • 3–5 years’ experience in field sales, ideally within fire and security, electrical installations, or B2B sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Solid understanding of fire and security systems, standards, and protocols
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organised with excellent time management skills

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based across the Midlands
  • Occasional visits to the head office
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required
